A full journey in Jordan
Day 1: Arrival Amman Airport – Amman Hotel
Upon arrival at Amman Airport. Then transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight.
DAY 2: Amman Hotel – Umm Qais – Jerash – Ajloun –Amman hotel
We start our day after breakfast In the morning we drive two hours from Amman to Gadara (Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous Decapolis, a union of 10 cities founded by Alexander the Great. Here you have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. From here we drive to the Islamic castle Ajloun with panorama views to the Jordan Valley We leave to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit Oval Plaza, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis… Overnight Amman hotel.
Day 3: Amman city tour – Baptism site-– Madaba hotel
We start our day after breakfast. to visit Jordan capital: visit the citadel with roman, byzantine and Islamic remains as well as the excellent archaeological museum. then we drive to baptism site which is situated on the banks of the Jordan River, flowing forth from the Sea of Galilee, the baptismal site of Yardenit welcomes over half a million tourists and pilgrims annually who come to experience the spirituality and pastoral beauty of the waters of the River Jordan, in which Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. After that, we drive to Madaba. Overnight in Madaba
Day 4: Madaba- Mt Nebo- um al Rasas- Mukawir- Hammat Main hotel
We start our day After breakfast we drive to Madaba, to see the famous mosaic 6th-century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. We head to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died…then we drive to Um Al-Rasas.
A rectangular walled city, about 30 kilometers southeast of Madaba, which is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. It was fortified by the Romans and local Christians were still embellishing it with Byzantine-style mosaics well over 100 years after the start of the Muslim Umayyad rule.
Just outside the city walls is the recently unearthed Church of Saint Stephen with its perfectly preserved outstanding mosaic floor, the largest of its kind to be discovered in Jordan and second only to the world-famous mosaic map at Madaba. Um, Al Rasas is a UNESCO world heritage site.
After that, we drove to Mukawir, the hilltop stronghold of Herod the Great, King of Judea. His son Herod Antipas inherited the fortress. He ordered here the beheading of John the Baptist after Salome’s fateful dance. Driving along the famous ancient caravan route then we drive to a series of natural hot springs and waterfalls with biblical connections, located between Madaba and the Dead Sea in Jordan. Overnight in Hammam Main.
Day 5: Hammamat main – king’s way- Wadi- Bin Hammad – Karak castle – Dana
After breakfast leaves the hotel. Driving along the famous ancient caravan route the King’s Way, we have a short stop in Wadi: Ben Hammad. The hike takes around 4 hours time, you follow a water stream, see hanging gardens and small waterfalls. Then we continue to Kerak.In Kerak visit the famous Crusader castle built in 1132/34 by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. Continue to Dana for overnight at Dana.
Day 6: Dana reserve – Shobak castle- little Petra- Petra hotel
We start our day after breakfast. Visitors to Dana will experience the beauty of Rummana Mountain, the timeless tranquility of Dana Village, and the grandeur of the red and white sandstone cliffs of Wadi Dana. The Dana Village area, overlooking the scenic Wadi Dana, has been occupied since 4000BC. Enjoy the white dome trail: 8 km trail, taking around 3 hours., the trail contours the huge escarpments of Wadi Dana between Rummana camp and Dana village. It offers breathtaking views of the canyon-like wadi and passes through the village terraced gardens.
Then we drive to Shobak the Crusader castle built by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. After that, we visit a little Petra . in Nabatean times the meeting point for the camel caravans Overnight Petra hotel.
Day 7: Petra visit
We start our day after breakfast. Begin your visit by enjoying a walk or a short horse ride from Petra’s main entrance to the entrance of the old city “Al Siq”, which is a 350 meters narrow canyon. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and greatest monument of Petra slowly comes into view. This is the famous Treasury monument “Al Khazneh”. Indulge yourself, and walk through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place examining every detail insight.
Then we, climb 800 steps to visit the Monastery. The Monastery is similar to design to the Treasury, but it is much larger and much less decorated. The flat plaza in front was carved out of the rock, perhaps to accommodate crowds at religious ceremonies. Overnight at Hotel in Petra.
Day 8: Petra visit
We start our day after breakfast .back to visit. Begin the day with a normal entry to Petra via the Siq and Outer Siq. From the Great Temple, you’ll ascend the hillside behind the Qasr al Bint and hike to the Snake Monument. Beyond the Snake Monument lies the base of Jabal Harun. At 1350 meters above sea-level it is the highest peak in the area, and it is a place of great sanctity to the local people, it is believed, Moses’ brother Aaron died and was buried. A 14th-century mosque stands here with its white dome visible from most areas in and around Petra.
You will climb a fairly easy mountainside for around 2-2 ½ hours before reaching the “saddle” of the mountain below the peak. Continue up the rock-carved steps to the ancient shrine and tomb of Aaron. From the peak of Jabal Harun, you will enjoy a fine view not only of Wadi Araba but also of the Petra and the Monastery. Day 9: Petra – Wadi rum
We start after breakfast move from our hotel to Natural Resort of Wadi Rum “The Valley of the Moon” a unique place unlike anywhere else you have ever visited. Arrive at the village of Rum where you will be picked up by local Bedouins to explore this splendid desert. They will drive you with their 4×4 Bedouin Pick Ups visiting the Nabatean inscriptions of Khazali and An fashioned, the red sand dunes, the rock bridges of Um Fruth and Burdah, Barragh canyon (Where you can have a one hour walk if you wish), and Lawrence’s house. Enjoy the sunset in Wadi Rum. Overnight at Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum.
Day 10: Wadi rum full-day visit to Wadi Rum
We start our day after breakfast to see more things in the desert Tours with 4×4 Bedouin Pick Ups will drive you further to the south to Jebel Khash, you will hike up to the summit and enjoy an amazing view above Wadi Rum desert and the Saudia border. Then we will walk through Nugra valley and then reach back to our Bedouin camp overnight.
Day 11: Wadi rum – Aqaba
We start our day morning after breakfast return to the village by camel then ( it takes 2 hours from the camp to the village)we drive to the red sea resort Aqaba where you have the opportunity to spend a full day at the red sea for relaxing and scuba diving. Overnight in Aqaba
Day 12: Aqaba
We start our day after breakfast we will have free time so you can spend it as you want you can enjoy some activities like swimming and snorkeling. In the evening you have 2 hours in the glass boat overnight Aqaba hotel
Day 13: Aqaba- dead sea – Amman
We start our day . after Breakfast, check out hotel. move to the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on earth, in the Dead Sea, you have leisure time and the chance to float on the water we spend a long time in the privet beach .afternoon time we will move to Amman for dinner time departure time transfer to Amman airport to say farewell and board your flight.
